The active ingredients of Benzaclin Topical Gel are an antibiotic called Clindamycin Phosphate, and a popular peeling agent with antibacterial tendencies called Benzoyl Peroxide. When applied to your skin as directed, the antibiotic will work to block the processes required to generate new proteins so the bacteria cannot grow or multiply.
