Stimate Nasal Spray is prescribed to people with certain bleeding disorders, such as mild hemophilia or type 1 von Willebrand disease (VWD) where there is a problem with blood clotting after an injury or surgery. A diagnosis of VWD means you are not producing enough of a protein, called von Willebrand factor (VWF) so you bleed heavier and longer because your blood’s ability to clot is limited.
Before You Use Stimate Nasal Spray
You will need to talk to your doctor before using Stimate Nasal Spray if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breast feeding and find out if it may be harmful to your unborn or nursing baby. Tell your doctor about other medical conditions or allergies you have and list any OTC or Rx drugs you are taking, including herbal preparations and vitamin or dietary supplements. This will help your doctor to determine if Stimate Nasal Spray is safe for you to use.
