The 420 series is NTEP and OIML legal for trade (excluding models 420-100 and 420-2000) and features a built-in rechargeable battery included and eight different units of measure. The scales come with a removable air shield for precise measurement (included with all models except 420-3000). The stainless steel platform size is 5.7 in W x 4.5 in D (145 mm W x 115 mm D) for all models, except for the model 420-3000, which has a larger platform: 7.4 in W x 5.8 in D (188 mm W x 148 mm D). The Cardinal Detecto 420 series precision balance is designed to be user-friendly.
